JUKI PS-800-8045 Large Field Pattern Sewing Machine with 800 mm x 450 mm (31.5″ x 17.7″) Max Sewing Field
The JUKI PS-800-8045 is a fully loaded CNC programmable pattern sewing machine with an 800 mm x 450 mm sewing field. It features:
- MAX sewing area: 31.5″ on the X axis (east-west) x 17.7″ on the Y axis (north-south)
- Air clamp hold
- Automatic thread cutting
- Intermittent presser foot
- Dome foot to glide over the clamp (plate) surface
- This model also has the cutting device in case you want to cut out your pieces after the stitch lines are finished (limited to certain materials)
- Integrated LCD touch screen control panel
- Pattern creation software that will load on your computer – can import DXF and PLT files to create your stitch lines
- USB Input for patterns
- Large hook and bobbins
- Bobbin winder
- Bar code reader that will recognize the plate being loaded and will load the corresponding pattern for that plate
- Air lines and adjustable air pressure regulators all hooked up
- Foot print of 48″ wide x 54″ deep

If you don’t have any experience with these types of machines, here are a few things to consider:
- This machine is set up from the factory with a small needle adequate to sew apparel items such as denim, cottons, workwear materials, etc…nothing heavy. The accessories kit that comes wit the machine has an extra needle bar with the hole that accepts either a 135×5 or 135×17 needle. Most likely, I will be doing this conversion – including a larger needle plate – and update you when done. This new setup will allow you to sew heavier materials with TEX 70 and TEX 90 thread.
- You need to consider what you want to sew, how many pieces you can comfortably fit into the sewing field, what thread size you need to utilize, etc.
- You will need to create CAD files of your patterns and nest them.
- You will then use the pattern CAD files to create the plate cut files. These files need to be sent to a professional fabricator or someone that has a laser cutter to cut your plates. Most modern plates are made of lexan or light plastic material. Details of the clamping position including air pins, center guide, etc. are available in a PDF file supplied from JUKI.
- After you have your plates, you will need to import your pattern files (DXF, PLT) into the supplied software and create your sewing pattern that will be recognized by the machine. The software has a very good instruction manual, however, the commands are a bit dated and will need some very thorough understanding and practice. Unfortunately, I have not found any other software that will convert your cad drawings into the machine formats (SLW, KLW, etc) so you will need to get good at it.
- Once you have your patterns done, you will input them into the machine via USB stick, recall the pattern on the panel, push a couple of buttons and run your production.
- PS – I listed this not to discourage you, but to let you know the reality of using one of these large pattern machines 😉 If you patiently follow the instructions, this machine will be a dream to have and get a lot of work for you done quickly and efficiently.
Given all that, this machine is priced at $10,000.00 as you see in the pics plus shipping. A great investment if you are in a position to extract the value from a machine like this.
